A Path Forward in 30 Days
Our updated code of conduct and innovative processes are transforming lives and helping individuals get back on track. Guests must now check in within 30 days of arrival and set actionable goals to continue receiving our services. Our mission is to offer a hand-up, not a handout, supporting people in their journey to reintegrate into the community. Since June, we've helped 30 individuals transition out of homelessness, reflecting the success of our new approach.

We’re grateful to the United Way of Pekin for their generous support of the Pekin Outreach Initiative. Their partnership helps us provide food, resources, and hope to those in need right here in our community.
About The Center
The Pekin Outreach Center opened in downtown Pekin, IL in February of 2021. The purpose for the center is to give people experiencing homelessness in the Pekin area a place to go to feel safe and welcome during the day.
We work with our guests daily to help them find the solutions to try to get their lives back on track. We strive to change their lives by caring and connecting them with agencies that can help them. Our goal is to not enable the people that come into the center, but to help transition them back to a better life.
Guests are able to have meals, do laundry, take showers and are provided with the assistance needed to help them get their life back on track.
The center runs solely with the help of our board members and volunteers. We have strict policies and rules that each guest must follow in order to keep the center a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.
What we provide
At the center, we provide the homeless with the following options, services and/or items:
- Meals
- Showers
- Laundry
- Haircuts
- Life/job assistance
