Nearly 1 in 2 Pekin Kids Rely on Snack Packs
Our Snack Packs cost just $6 each, a small price to help ensure children in our community have food over the weekend when school meals aren’t available.
Each week, 1,700 Snack Packs are provided to Greater Pekin students, meaning nearly 1 in 2 local kids rely on this program.
Hunger can lead to developmental delays, social and behavioral challenges, and struggles in school. Our Snack Pack Program plays a vital role in supporting children facing circumstances beyond their control.
Since its inception in 2013, our Snack Pack Program has dedicated itself to nourishing children in need within our community. With the goal of combatting food insecurity, we have successfully distributed over 50,000 snack packs, ensuring nutritious meals and snacks reach qualifying kids.
